Cassandra Baptiste
Instructional Coach NYC Department of EducationCassandra Baptiste is a native New Yorker and a graduate of NYC Public schools. With over a decade of teaching experience in urban schools from Pre-K to Grade 12, her areas of expertise are special education with a focus on literacy, the sciences, and Culturally Responsive Pedagogy. She has a strong interest in education policies that primarily affect students and teachers of color and is currently on a research sabbatical pursuing an Ed.M at the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Education Policy and Management. She is a proud member of the School Diversity Advisory Group, and in her free time she enjoys traveling and ethnomusicology.
