Policy Director Partnership for the Future of Learning

Jasmine Bolton joined the Partnership for the Future of Learning staff as Policy Director in February 2023. She serves as the point person on the network support team for working with partners to set and advance the network’s policy priorities and strategies.

In January 2021, President Biden appointed Jasmine to serve as Senior Counsel in the Office for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Education where she helped to ensure equal access to education and promote educational excellence through the vigorous enforcement of civil rights in our nation’s schools.

Prior to joining the Biden-Harris Administration, Jasmine was a senior staff attorney at The Bail Project, a non-profit committed to eradicating cash bail, where she helped coordinate the expansion into new jurisdictions in the South. Before that, Jasmine was a policy analyst for Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign, which included a focus on informing the Senator’s proposed public education platform.

Prior to joining Senator Warren’s campaign, Jasmine worked as a Legal Fellow in the New Orleans’ office of the Southern Poverty Law Center, where she focused on educational equity, combatting the School-to-Prison Pipeline, and improving youth access to mental health services. She previously clerked for the Honorable Bernice B. Donald on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and worked as a securities litigation associate in the New York office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. Jasmine received her J.D. with honors from Columbia University in 2014, and graduated cum laude from Harvard College in 2011.
