Christopher Maximos is a sophomore at Stanford University, studying political science. Christopher’s passion for education advocacy was sparked during his sophomore year of high school, when he founded teachspeech, a national initiative to expand public speaking education. Since then, Christopher has collaborated with Citizen University to build civics curricula, mentored students with EducationUSA Russia, and lead the first two cohorts of Student Voice’s Journalism Fellowship. Christopher’s work has been recognized by the New Jersey Hall of Fame, the National World War II Museum, and the National Speech & Debate Association. Outside of advocacy, he enjoys working on theatrical productions, reading mystery novels, and listening to podcasts.
